Restorations
This is a project I began awhile back, after I first discovered MS Paint and a program called LViewPro. The real source of inspiration however: I had seen a website where a person was virtually reconstructing Egyptian artwork as a form of non-destructive archeology. It's a great project if you've got nothing better to do and a lot of time on your hands, as it is very time-consuming. But worth the effort. Tell me what you think.
1. Heb-sed court of King Djoser at Saqqara.
2. Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkhare at Giza
3. The false door of Intef. This is actually a false door; I realized after I was finished it was probably located on the inside of the mastaba, the information for which I discovered at the University of Chicago library. Still, I liked the pictures that came out of it and the knowledge I gained. For a description of the project from start to finish click here.
5.Close up of the King's List from Seti I's mortuary temple at Abydos.
6.Mortuary temples of King Montuhotep II and Queen Hatshepsut at deir el Bahiri
